What is the appropriate way to report the absence when an employee is absent from the workplace resulting from symptoms and/or diagnosis of Coronavirus or other flu-like sickness?

The College is activating Disaster Pay for individuals who qualify for absences based on the advice of a medical professional. Employees requesting absence in response to symptoms of COVID-19 or other flu-like sickness may be approved for Disaster Pay leave by submitting their physician’s statement attesting to a diagnosed condition or “at risk” status (resulting from pre-existing health condition) PRIOR TO taking any leave.

Contact your Campus Employee Relations Liaison to forward medical documentation and obtain guidance on proper reporting of requested leave for Full-Time and/or Part-Time employees (including Work Study Student Assistants).
