What is a MAP?

The MAP (My Academic Plan) is an individualized education plan that forecasts the plan towards graduation. It lays out a semester-by-semester plan of all courses needed in order to graduate with an identified degree. If you have a MAP you can view your MAP using your MDC Navigate account. You must log in using the web version of the platform to view your MAP. Once in Navigate, click on “planner”.  To develop, review, or update your MAP meet with an academic advisor.

You develop a MAP (My Academic Plan) with an academic advisor. Visit the Advisement and Career Services website to see ways in which you can schedule an appointment with an advisor.

If you need a MAP for a Financial Aid Academic Appeal, you will need to meet with an academic advisor to complete your MAP. You and your advisor will plan your courses through completion. You must follow your MAP and make academic progress to receive future aid. Provide a copy of your MAP with your appeal.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is a requirement for all students receiving federal financial aid awards.  Students must maintain a certain GPA, completion rate and complete their program of study within the time frame allowed to remain eligible for aid. Please contact the Financial Aid Department for more information
