Employee(s) make a request to wear mask and/or gloves.

Recent communications from the College’s Office of Emergency Management and our Provost, Dr. Lenore Rodicio assert that Miami Dade College continues closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. In accordance with the various agencies (Florida Health Department, Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization) reporting on this situation, we ask the College community to continue following the precautions recently communicated by MDC. (http://www.mdc.edu/coronavirus)

The CDC, WHO and Florida Health Department are not recommending the use of masks and/or gloves for individuals who are not symptomatic or are not at risk of exposure. For students or members of the community you serve who are wearing personal protective items, please proceed to assist them to the best of your ability, as you would under normal circumstances. MDC employees may not wear masks or gloves unless medically necessitated. In these circumstances, documentation must be provided to the corresponding Campus/District liaison in the Office of Employee Relations.
