What if I’m married now but didn’t file with my spouse last year?

If you are married at the time you completed the FAFSA, you must include your spouse’s income. You should add both incomes (i.e. adjusted gross income, taxes paid) and include them on the FAFSA. If you are selected for verification, you will need to submit copies of both your and your spouse’s tax return transcript.
