I applied as an international student for the summer term, starting May 11, 2020. Can I still take classes at MDC in May?

If you applied to study at MDC in the summer term and you are NOT currently in the United States, your application will be deferred to the fall semester, which begins on August 24, 2020. This applies to ALL applicants not in the U.S., even if you have already received your I-20 and visa. Please contact your ISS coordinator to receive your updated I-20 with the August 24th start date.

If you applied to study at MDC in the summer term as a TRANSFER IN student from another U.S. institution, you are currently in the U.S., and you have a valid I-20/immigration status, we will continue to process your application and issue a transfer I-20. Please contact your ISS coordinator to receive your transfer I-20.

If you applied to study at MDC in the summer term as a Change of Status student and you have already received an I-20, your I-20 will be deferred to the fall semester, which begins on August 24, 2020. If you receive a Change of Status approval notice before May 11th, please contact your ISS coordinator for further guidance. No new Change of Status I-20s will be issued for the summer term.
