How much can I borrow with a Federal Direct Stafford Loan?

The amount you can borrow each year depends on your grade level in school, dependent or independent status, and other factors.  There are limits to the maximum amount you are eligible to receive each academic year (annual loan limit) and in total (aggregate loan limits). Your school will determine what types of loans and how much you may be eligible to borrow. Additional information about Federal Direct Stafford loans and loan limits can be found at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/types/loans.
