Yes. Except for current Off-Duty Police Officers and Retirees returning to Miami Dade College within 18 months of retirement. All other selected candidates must successfully complete a Background Check. This requires that the candidate schedule an appointment online (date, time and location) and pay for the background check. In order to avoid delays in the hiring process, background checks must be completed prior to the first day of employment. Only out-of-state candidates may complete their background checks within the first five (5) business days of employment at the College.
