Does MDC accept transfer students?


Yes. The College does accept transfer students. All students who wish to attend MDC must apply for admissions and go through the standard process, including paying the $30 application fee, proving Florida residency, if eligible; placement testing, when necessary, etc. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities are required.

Please note that in order to be awarded a degree from MDC, students must earn a minimum of 25 percent of the credits applicable toward the program of study for which graduation is sought at Miami Dade College. In addition, students pursuing an Associate in Science, College Credit Certificate, and Technical Education-seeking students, must earn at Miami Dade College a minimum of 50 percent of the credits in discipline-specific courses. Baccalaureate degree students must earn a minimum of 50 percent of the credits in upper-division course work at Miami Dade College.
